Midlands Suzuki exists to nurture a thriving community of Suzuki families in the Midlands region. By uniting Suzuki students we are able to provide group classes, workshops, concerts, and enrichment activities of a high standard. The musical occasions that members share with other Suzuki teachers and families will create strong ties of friendship and over time the group will feel like an extended family.
The Midlands Suzuki International Summer Workshop is a non-residential music course for Suzuki violin and viola students, Suzuki ECE families, and teacher observers. This is our third course at The Midlands Arts Centre, Birmingham, UK. The workshop runs from Wednesday 16 – Saturday 19 August 2023. We welcome students from all over the world and have a faculty of internationally renowned teachers. We hope you will be able to join us for 4 days of fantastic music making in Birmingham this summer!

Midlands Suzuki provides regional monthly group classes and playtogethers for Suzuki violin students, from beginner to advanced. The group is run by a committee of Suzuki parents and teachers and provides opportunities for violinists of all ages to meet fellow violinists, have extra input and learn and review skills taught in their weekly individual violin lessons. The classes take place on the second Sunday of each month, 3.00 – 5.00 pm at King Edward VI Lordswood School for Girls, Knightlow Rd, Harborne, Birmingham B17 8QB.

Suzuki Early Childhood Education is a weekly interactive music and movement class for caregivers and their children (age 0-3). SECE classes seek to build on the child’s natural delight in learning and lay the foundation for lifelong learning. Through parent participation in prenatal, baby and toddler classes, parents become partners in providing an enriched environment for the growth of their children. There are currently two SECE classes running in the Midlands, in Bearwood and Sutton Coldfield.
